Moving house in Spain means updating your address in several different places — it isn't automatic just because you've moved. Missing one can cause problems later, from missed official mail to incorrect school zoning.

- Update your empadronamiento (municipal registration) at your new town hall — this is the foundational address record most other services check against
- Update your address with the Agencia Tributaria (tax authority), since this affects where certain notifications are sent
- Update your address on your DNI/TIE record, if required, and with Social Security
- Update your address with your bank, insurance providers, mobile/internet provider, and any subscriptions or deliveries tied to your old address

Common mistakes
- Updating empadronamiento but forgetting the Agencia Tributaria and Social Security, which don't update automatically from your municipal registration
